Professor Charity Aremu Onye (born on August 1, 1968) is an intellectual and a remorseless lover of God. She is also an educationist that builds destinies and imparts knowledge to the young ones.

She is a Professor of Plant and Breeding and Genetics with more than 60 articles in international and local Journals. She studied at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, for her first (Bsc.) and second degree (Msc.) in Agriculture and completed her Ph.D. program at the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

Professor Charity Aremu continues to remain passionate about driving quality academic and administrative operations to make the vision of Landmark University a reality. In an interview with Punch Newspaper, she stated that her three major duties as the Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University include academic, administrative, and mentorship roles.

She handled several leadership responsibilities before she was appointed as the Vice-Chancellor. Some of them include Head of Department, Chairperson of the University Academic Board, Chairperson of the Teaching and Research Farm Board, Dean of the College of Agricultural Science (DCAS), and Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies (DSPS).

Regarding her departure from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, she stated, “I left because of the passion I had to make an impact using the spiritual base of where I belong. I belong to the Living Faith Church. Contributing back to what we learned from the proprietor is what motivated me to join the LU. I wanted to contribute my quota to train students in the pathway of leadership and success.”

Her other areas of Interest include farming, travelling, adventures, and music.
